Among the ports are Thailand's Koh Samui, Phuket and Laem Chabang (for Bangkok), Vietnam's Da Nang/Hue, Phu My (for Ho Chi Minh City) and Na Trang, and Malaysia's Penang, Port Klang and Langkawi.

Passengers will be able to celebrate festivities such as Christmas, New Year's Eve, Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day on board and at the various ports. In addition, the ship will introduce MedallionClass cruising to the region.

Repositioning cruises

The Singapore deployment is bookended by two repositioning cruises. Diamond Princess will make its way to Singapore with a 15-day sailing from Yokohama arriving Dec. 16, with calls at Osaka, Toba, Keelung (for Taipei), Hong Kong, Da Nang, Na Trang and Phu My.

The deployment will be capped with a 13-day cruise from Singapore back to Yokohama on March 5, with Diamond Princess arriving during cherry blossom time to begin its Japan season.

The ship will sail in Japan through August 2024 on round-trips to 35 destinations in three countries on 31 unique itineraries with 36 departure dates. In addition, Royal Princess will make its Japan debut as the first Royal-class ship to sail in the region.

Princess recently announced its 2025 Japan deployment on Diamond Princess.

Besides Japan, Princess said its most popular cruises for Southeast Asians are to Alaska and Europe. The line will have seven ships cruising to Alaska in 2024 from four home ports: San Francisco, Seattle, Whittier and Vancouver, BC. Five ships are scheduled for Europe, including the new Sun Princess
