The approximate departure time from the yard is 2 p.m.

The ship is scheduled to complete the 32-kilometer journey early Monday, with arrival in Eemshaven, Netherlands.

Assisted by two tugs, the Royal Caribbean International ship will move backwards, a procedure that ensures greater safety.

The schedule is subject to wind, weather conditions and water levels.

After a short sailing in the Eemshaven area, Quantum later will moor for several days at Bremerhaven's Columbus Cruise Center before sea trials begin.

The conveyance can be viewed on Meyer Werft's webcam.
