Bert Hernandez, who has been Azamara's chief operating officer since late last year, is becoming svp and chief operating officer of Royal Caribbean International China.

'Carol has made her mark in our investor relations efforts, and this is a great opportunity for her and the company,' said Jason Liberty, evp and cfo.

'Carola has held leadership positions in finance and on-board revenue across our largest corporate brands,' he added.

The executives will be transitioning into their new roles through RCL's second quarter earnings call in late July/early August.

Cabezas has been with Royal Caribbean since 2000, initially holding a variety of corporate analyst positions then serving at Celebrity Cruises as manager of revenue management, director of sales planning & analysis and associate vp national and strategic accounts, North America. She has spent nearly two years in the corporate investor relations job.

Mengolini has been with Royal Caribbean since 2006, working in various finance roles. She became associate vp finance and administration for Celebrity Cruises in late 2012 and then vp on-board revenue for Royal Caribbean International in 2014. She has served as vp finance for RCI since January 2015.

Before Azamara, Hernandez spent three years as vp planning, strategy and deployment for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and, prior to that, four years as vp revenue management for Celebrity Cruises.
