The tool, called FBI, is powered by IST and works through FIBOS technology.

Gianni Rotondo, general manager RCL Italy stated, ‘Royal Caribbean Italy decided to aim for technological innovation which offers customers and commercial partners intuitive and advanced solutions.’

Using the FBI tool all the key decision elements of the buying process are in the same screen. 'It is not just about simplifying the booking process, he added, ‘it is the way that the process is simplified.'

The interactive deck plans show the price and the description of each cabin, together with its location on the ship and descriptions of all public areas enabling the user to explore the ship through a web browser application, without interrupting the booking process.

‘Our focus is on the cruise industry and how to improve  efficiency through our technology,’ notes Manuel Sardi, general director of IST.

IST is a Spanish technology supplier, headquartered in Barcelona, with 15 years of experience offering online sales tools to the cruise lines and travel agents.
