This is due to the extension of Hong Kong's measures to stem the Omicron variant and the uncertainty of the situation there.

Impacted are departures through March 17. Passengers will receive full refunds.

'Prudent course of action'

'Our most prudent course of action is to cancel the season,' said Bert Hernandez, president, China, Royal Caribbean International. He added that tremendous efforts had been made to deliver memorable vacations and continued: 'While we have received an amazing response from those who have sailed, we do not want our future guests to be in a difficult situation because of this uncertainty.'

To Singapore

As earlier reported, Spectrum of the Seas' redeployment to Singapore was moved forward by six months, and the ship is scheduled to begin sailing from Singapore April 11, instead of in October.
