Royal Caribbean has a new chief medical consultant

Dr. Art Diskin, an emergency medicine expert who served as vp and global chief medical officer at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. for eight years, has left the company.

RCL's new chief medical consultant is Dr. Ben Shore, previously with Norwegian Cruise Line.

At Norwegian, Shore had reported to Dr. Carlos Gonzalez, who assumed responsibility for medical operations at all three Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings brands, including Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, in May last year.

Gonzalez continues as chief medical officer for NCLH.
