Saga signs up Solent Stevedores for further five-year contract

Saga and Solent Stevedores mark their 10-year relationship by 2028
Solent Stevedores has secured a five-year deal for cruise turn-around services with Saga Cruises at the Port of Southampton, which will cover all cruise calls to the port for the line’s newest ships: Spirit of Adventure and Spirit of Discovery.

Tom Dynes, operations director at Solent Stevedores said, ‘Our new agreement with Saga Cruises is testament to the skill, expertise and dedication which our team deliver to each and every cruise call to the Port of Southampton and the great working relationship we have held with Saga Cruises since 2017.

‘The cruise industry has shown incredible resilience in the last two years and we’re proud to play such an integral part of all cruise operations at Europe’s leading cruise-turn around port.’

Contract

The contract includes mooring Saga ships, stores loading, passenger mobility assistance and baggage handling.

The two companies will mark ten years of partnership by 2028.

Southampton

Each year at Southampton port, Solent Stevedores welcomes nearly two million passengers, handles 3.5m suitcases and handles 120,000t of ships stores across 400 calls.
