Scenic Eclipse II, which was forced to cancel its 2021 maiden season in Australia due to COVID-19 restrictions, will cruise around Queensland and the Northern Territory in 2024.

Highlight of the just released ‘Australia, Indonesia and the Pacific’ brochure is the 29-day ‘Grand Australian Sojourn’ which departs April 22, 2024, from Newcastle, New South Wales, where Glen Moroney founded the company in 1986.

The 228-passenger boutique ship will sail along the New South Wales and Queensland coastlines to the Northern Territory, visiting the Hunter River, Montgomery Reef, Talbot Bay and Lacepede Island before arriving in Broome and sailing around the Kimberley.

Chairman’s Voyage

Moroney will host the Chairman’s Voyage leaving Newcastle on April 22, along with passengers on the ‘Grand Australian Sojourn.’

Highlights will be visits to K’Gari (Fraser Island), Gladstone, Percy Isles National Park, Airlie Beach, Magnetic Island and Willis Island.

A barbecue on the dazzling white sands of Whitehaven Beach is a Scenic Enrich experience.

Tahiti to Fiji

A 13-day ‘Reefs & Volcanic Isles: Tahiti to Fiji' voyage from Papeete on March 31, 2024, calls at Bora Bora, Palmerston Island, Alofi, Vava’u, Fulanga Island, Vanua Balavu and Ovalau en route to Lautoka.

‘Bringing Scenic Eclipse II home to Australia and the Pacific Islands waters will be a major event  for our guests, travel trade partners and the Scenic team,’ Anthony Laver, GM sales & marketing, said.
