Seabourn plans fully vaccinated cruises from Barbados this summer
Seabourn plans to start round-trip cruises from Barbados this summer, putting a second ship into operation along with its Greece-Cyprus program.
April 21, 2021
Seabourn Odyssey is to sail weekly from Bridgetown beginning July 18.
Vaccinated travelers and crew
The cruises are open to fully vaccinated travelers, and Seabourn crew will be vaccinated as well.
Butterfly itinerary to Windward and Leeward islands
Destinations include Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Maarten and St. Kitts. Passengers can choose a 14-day option that combines two distinct Windward and Leeward islands itineraries.
The cruises include Seaoburn's 'Caviar in the Surf' at Carambola Beach with Champagne and a lavish barbecue lunch featuring grilled lobster. A day of water sports from the ship's marina is also planned.
Previously released itineraries for fall 2021 sailings include additional port calls at St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Guadeloupe and Martinique.
Barbados welcome
'We look forward to welcoming Seabourn back to our shores and are pleased with the outlook for the restart of the cruise industry,' Barbados Tourism Minister Lisa Cummins said. 'Safe travel is our priority, and placing vaccinations and other key public health travel protocols at the core of our cruise industry restart will not only restore traveler confidence, but also offer comfort to visitors and Barbadians alike.'
Masks, distancing and capacity controls for indoor venues are included in Seabourn's Travel Safe protocols.
More details will be available in the coming weeks, though bookings are open now. Seabourn is offering flexible cancellation terms through its Book with Confidence policy. Currently, that applies to bookings made prior to May 31 for cruises departing by the end of 2021. Travelers may cancel up to 30 days prior and receive a full future cruise credit.
Seabourn's Greece-Cyprus sailings are to start July 3.
