ShermansCruise aims to give users an easy way to navigate through the complexities of research, shopping and booking, with an overarching emphasis on finding the right cruise.

ShermansTravel ceo David Steward said the goal is to provide resources that demystify cruising and help people find their ideal cruise.

'We know that for first-time cruisers, the process can be confusing,' he said. 'With the growth of offerings on board and in port, and the diversification of cruise ships and itineraries, there is a cruise for everyone. People just need help finding the ships and itineraries that are right for them.'

To deliver on that goal, ShermansCruise features Navigatr, a cruise recommendation tool. Powered by proprietary technology, Navigatr matches travelers with the right cruise ship and itinerary based on a variety of criteria, much like those a traditional travel agent would use. To start, users answer eight questions that range from budget to what they might do on a free afternoon and their poolside preferences. At the end, an email is required to get the results.

Recommendations are presented in a streamlined way to make it easy to find the lowest rates, check availability, explore the ship’s features, select a cabin, book online or speak directly to a live cruise agent.

ShermansCruise takes a service-oriented approach. From insider advice to expert reviews to deals, the content is visually driven and easily digestible. Original video brings cruising to life and helps differentiate cabin options, line-owned private islands in the Caribbean and more. Integrated social media posts highlight the voices of real cruisers and their experiences via photos and mini-reviews, in real time. Curated social media posts from the cruise lines are incorporated, too.

The original editorial content offers ship, cruise line, port and itinerary reviews, and coverage of the latest cruise trends and deals. All this is served on the website and in email newsletters.

Cruise expert Sherri Eisenberg, most recently with CruiseLine.com and a contributing cruise columnist for the Los Angeles Times, is the editorial director.

'Our goal is to provide compelling, current and interactive content for readers that helps them better understand cruising and the diverse product and itineraries that are currently available,' she said.
