In addition to headline sponsorship of the golfing championship, which tees off at Foxhills in Surrey on May 11-13, Silversea will also join the PGA’s Official Supplier programme.

'This is a partnership which unites two strong brands in a mutually beneficial agreement' said Lisa McAuley, commercial director UK & Ireland Silversea Cruises.

PGA deputy chief executive Robert Maxfield said: 'We are delighted to welcome Silversea as sponsor of the Senior PGA Professional Championship and PGA Official Supplier. The championship has a rich heritage and is an important tournament on the PGA calendar.'

The tournament will return to Foxhills for the third successive year, where a field of close on 200 players will compete over the Longcross and Bernard Hunt courses for the Bernard Hunt Trophy, named in honour of the former PGA Captain and Ryder Cup star, and a share of the increased £40,000 prize fund.
