Following news that Western Australia is opening to small cruise ships arriving from other Australian states and territories, Silversea announced it will commence a 2022 Kimberley season on June 4 with Silver Explorer.

The 144-passenger expedition ship, with a crew of 118, complies with the maximum capacity of 350 set by WA, and will sail from Darwin to Broome.

She is currently sailing in East Africa.

Patiently waiting

‘Our guests have been patiently waiting for this news and we are thrilled to offer the Silversea experience in this wild and remote region in just two months,’ MD Asia-Pacific Adam Radwanski said.

Radwanski said Silver Explorer’s first 2022 Kimberley cruise will be a sell-out and he expects ‘a surge of interest’ this week.
