Singapore Airlines joins CLIA Australasia as executive partner
Singapore Airlines has joined Cruise Lines International Association Australasia as an Executive Partner and will be the headline sponsor at the 19th annual Cruise Industry Awards Dinner at The Star Sydney on February 15 next year.
‘Singapore Airlines operates at the heart of a region that offers enormous potential for cruising, connecting the rapidly developing destinations of Asia with the thriving cruise markets of Australia and New Zealand,’ CLIA Australasia MD Joel Katz said.
Cruiseing and airline industries intertwined
‘The cruising and airline industries are intertwined and this newly formed partnership allows us to enhance and further strengthen the close working relationship we have had with the cruising industry for many years,’ Philip Goh, regional VP South West Pacific for Singapore Airlines, said.
‘With more than 160 flights a week from nine cities across Australia and New Zealand, SIA is pleased to have worked alongside the cruise industry to ensure our mutual customers not only reach their cruise, but get there in comfort thanks to our famous Singapore Airlines service,’ Goh said.
CLIA’s Executive Partner programme brings together organisations with a common ambition to support and develop the international cruise industry. Partners include port authorities, tourism bodies, airlines and cruise line suppliers.
