Singapore and Thailand sign MOU on promoting cruise tourism

Top representatives from the governments of Singapore and Thailand met to to reaffirm the longstanding ties of the two countries.

During the meetings between General Prayut Chan-o-cha, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, several MOU’s were signed focussing on co-operation including an MOU on promoting cruise tourism.

During his visit to Singapore, Prime Minister Prayut visited the Marina Bay Cruise Centre to learn about Singapore’s cruise tourism industry, and the Botanic Gardens for an Orchid naming ceremony.

Singapore signed a similar MOU on promoting cruise in ASEAN with Vietnam in April.
