Sun Princess to sail Caribbean cruises from Port Everglades starting late 2024

Sun Princess, set to begin service in the Mediterranean in February 2024, will make its stateside debut at Port Everglades in October next year.

Seven- and 14-day Caribbean itineraries are planned, with a five-day getaway opening the season.

That five-day opener includes Amber Cove (Dominican Republic) and Grand Turk.

Eastern and western Caribbean

Two seven-day eastern routes are available: St. Thomas, San Juan (late-night stay) and Princess Cays, and Bahamas, Amber Cove, Grand Turk and Princess Cays. A western itinerary includes Cozumel, Belize City and Roatán.

Eastern and western cruises may be combined for a 14-day program.

New features

At 175,500gt, Sun Princess will be Princess Cruises' largest ship. First of the Sphere class, it is LNG-powered and has new dining, entertainment, outdoor areas and activities.

The Caribbean season opens for sale April 19.
