Carnival Splendor, which was home-ported in Sydney in December 2019, has also been paused until September 17.

Carnival Spirit, which has been sailing from Sydney since October 2012 and will homeport at the new Brisbane International Cruise Terminal, was previously paused until mid-September.

Generous future credit

A Carnival Australia spokesperson said booked guests and travel agents are being notified directly of the cancellations and their options for a generous future cruise credit, or a full refund.

The spokesperson said Carnival Cruise Line will resume cruising in Australia with enhanced health and safety measures developed in conjunction with government authorities, public health experts, local ports of call and the Cruise Lines International Association.
