Uniworld Australia appoints new gm

Fiona Dalton has been appointed md of Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection Australia, replacing John Molinaro who left this month after eight years.

Dalton, who takes up her new position early May, is the former gm sales for helloworld and her responsibilities included Qantas Holidays & Viva! Holidays and The Cruise Team.

‘Fiona has outstanding credentials for this role given her extensive industry knowledge and experience, proven leadership skills and exceptional commercial nous,’ said John Veitch, ceo of The Travel Corporation Australia whose parent company purchased river cruise operator Uniworld in 2004.

Uniworld president Guy Young said: ‘I’m delighted to welcome Fiona to the Uniworld team. Australia continues to be an incredibly successful growth market for Uniworld and with Fiona about to take the helm we welcome the opportunity to further strengthen our invaluable relationships with our agent partners.’

Dalton said she is ‘incredibly excited’ about joining TTC and heading up its river cruise company in Australia and looks forward to working closely with its trade partners.
