USCG seeks cruise ship to host Underway Foreign Passenger Vessel Examiner Course

The US Coast Guard Cruise Ship National Center of Expertise seeks a vessel to host three Foreign Passenger Vessel Examiner Courses on board while underway.

The requirement is for a ship of at least 70,000gt departing from Port Everglades, PortMiami or Port Canaveral, during the period April 1 to Dec. 15. Blackout dates are August and September.

Up to 20 attendees

The cruise vessel vendor shall provide all supplies and services to include lodging and food to accommodate up to 20 attendees for either a five-night/six-day or six-night/seven-day event including a fully furnished training room with audiovisual, Wi-Fi, onsite support and access to various shipboard locations, demonstration and/or testing of equipment and shadowing of crew members.

There will be at least three to four weeks between sailings.

If the specified cruise lengths are not available, a back-to-back three-night/four-day event is acceptable.

Jan. 19 submission deadline

Questions and/or requests for clarification should be submitted electronically before Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. EST. Submissions are due by Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. EST.
