Carter’s 28 year cruise director experience includes brands such as P&O, Cunard and Discovery Cruises. He brings unrivalled experience to the small ship cultural cruise line, Voyages to Antiquity, and summer 2016 will be the first time he calls the 350-guest Aegean Odyssey his long term home. Carter spent a brief two month spell in the role in 2014.

Jos Dewing, managing director, Voyages to Antiquity, commented, 'I’ve been lucky enough to work with Paul before and it is always a great experience. Our passengers enjoy the same friendship with Paul and the feedback on his temporary role on-board last year was so exceptional we had to have him back on a more permanent basis.'

Summer 2015 will see Carter and Aegean Odyssey take cruise travellers to the Dalmatian coast, Classical Greece, Imperial Rome, amongst others before repositioning to South Africa for the winter 2015-16 season.

Carter said, 'Travelling the world on a small ship is my dream job.'
