Several Cruise Britain members shared with Seatrade Cruise News their experiences of life during the global cruise industry shutdown and their reactions to the gradual restart this year.

Premiered at Cruise Britain's winter event on December 1, the video gives an insight into the unique challenges of ports, shore excursion companies and service providers 21 months ago. 

Those participating in the video include: Chris Blanchard, EVP, SMS International Shore Operations; Tom Dynes, operations director, Solent Stevedores; Gary Hall, commercial executive, Belfast Harbour; Rebekah Keeler, head of cruise, ABP Southampton; Angie Redhead, head, Liverpool Cruise Terminal; Rupert Woodard, MD, Excursions Limited.

2022 video series

Part of the Seatrade Cruise Talks series, the video is one of a handful scheduled to be released by SCN on behalf of Cruise Britain next year.

In total, this summer saw 21 ships sail carrying over 100,000 passengers, calling at over 30 UK ports.
