First Southeast Asia cruises since early 2020
'The fascinating cultures of Vietnam and Cambodia have always made this region a favorite destination among our guests,' Viking Chairman Torstein Hagen said. 'We are also pleased to welcome back to Southeast Asia our first guests since early 2020. With the arrival of the Viking Saigon, we look forward to introducing even more curious travelers to this iconic waterway in the coming years.'
Inside Viking Saigon
The triple-deck Viking Saigon has the sleek Scandinavian design for which Viking is known. The vessel offers 40 outside staterooms with sliding glass doors opening to a veranda or a French balcony.
Facilities include a restaurant, spa and fitness center, infinity pool and open-air Sky Bar on the Upper Deck.
'Magnificent Mekong' cruise and land program
This 15-day journey highlights the cultural treasures of Vietnam and Cambodia with 16 guided tours. Hotel stays in Hanoi, Siem Reap and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) bracket an eight-day Mekong River voyage with opportunities to explore Hanoi's Old Quarter, attend a performance by Apsara dancers and taste the fresh ingredients from bustling markets and restaurants.
Travelers also can wander the Khmer temple complex of Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that includes Ta Prohm, where jungle vines embrace ancient ruins. And they can tour Phnom Penh by cyclo rickshaw.
On the river voyage, they'll discover towns famous for silk production, fishing villages, monasteries and floating markets.
