The delay is due to on-going repairs after an issue with the electric transformers in one part of the propulsion system cut short the previous cruise.

To enable passengers to experience the scheduled ports, Viking has arranged hotel stays and excursions in Bergen on Aug. 8 and 9, then will fly them to Copenhagen to embark the ship on the afternoon of Aug. 10.

According to the revised schedule, passengers flying in to Bergen on Aug. 8 will be transferred to a hotel and have free time that day. On Aug. 9, they will take a fjord country excursion and on Aug. 10 a Bergen city tour before flying to Copenhagen to join the ship.

Viking Star will remain in Copenhagen until Aug. 11, then transit the Kiel Canal on Aug. 12, followed by a sea day before arriving at Le Havre on Aug 14.

Another sea day follows as the ship resumes its scheduled itinerary with a second sea day Aug. 16, Lisbon (Aug. 17), Cádiz (Aug. 18), Gibraltar (Aug. 19), Murica, for Cartagena (Aug. 20) and Barcelona (Aug. 21-22).
