Virgin Voyages names its fourth ship Brilliant Lady

Brilliant Lady follows Resilient Lady, which is scheduled to enter service on Greece and Adriatic cruises starting Aug. 14.

Duality of meaning

Virgin Voyages said the name Brilliance — which means both radiance and exceptional talent and intelligence — was chosen for the duality of its meaning. On every sailing, the line aims to have sailors (passengers) leave with a glowing review, and Virgin also hopes to highlight the 'powerful intelligence of women across the globe.

'Brilliant Lady represents the smart, thoughtful, boundary-pushing minds of women around the world — unafraid of owning their intelligence, aware of their importance and confidently in touch with their own sense of self worth,' as the line put it.
