From there, Resilient Lady will offer two seven-night itineraries.

Greek Isles and Adriatic routes

A Greek Isles program calls at Santorini, Rhodes, Crete and Mykonos (overnight). And an Adriatic route includes Dubrovnik (with a late, 2 a.m. departure), Kotor, Corfu and Argostoli.

Resilient Lady is scheduled for delivery from Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente on July 1, 2022.

Follows Valiant Lady in the Mediterranean

It will be the second Virgin ship to sail the Mediterranean, following Valiant Lady. As previously reported, Valiant Lady will miss its planned Barcelona debut this summer and is expected to start sailing alongside Scarlet Lady from PortMiami in the fall, however it will ply the Mediterranean in 2022.

'We know the time to travel is on the horizon, and Virgin Voyages is here so that we can keep dreaming of irresistible vacations ahead,' said Tom McAlpin, president and CEO, Virgin Voyages.

Virgin timed the news of its newest 'lady ship' to coincide with International Women's Day.
