Windstar Cruises is offering a 'President's Mystery Cruise' in April 2025 hosted by Christopher Prelog.
March 4, 2024

Star Legend will be departing from Piraeus April 19; after that, the ports on this eight-day sailing are a mystery.
A secret, even from the host
'The majority of them, if not all of them, we haven’t been [to] before,' Prelog said. 'The team is keeping the itinerary secret even from me. They know I get excited about things and can’t help sharing; I’m looking forward to the anticipation of finding out where we’re going along with the guests on board.'
The cruise is aimed at Windstar Yacht Club (loyalist) members. Passengers will find out 24 hours ahead of arrival at each port where they're going. Once the destination is known. shore excursions will be available to book.
This mysterious voyage doubles as the annual president's cruise (this year's in April, visits the Canary Islands) so passengers will have the opportunity to interact with Prelog.
Inspired by ...
He said the concept was inspired by Windstar’s recent 'Tahiti & the Tuamotu Islands' sailing on Star Breeze. Just two days into the 11-day cruise, Tropical Cyclone Nat made it necessary to change course and a completely new itinerary was crafted to avoid the bad weather.
Windstar said the positive response from passengers sparked leadership to lean into the 'mystery cruise' idea.
Awakening the sense of adventure
'It’s sort of awakening the sense of adventure again, which is what travel should always do,' Prelog said.
