Anniversary touches will pop up in the suites and at special events and dinners. While Seabourn includes fine wines and spirits, a 30th Anniversary Wine Package featuring a selection of top wine and Champagne will be available for purchase.
The renowned mixologist Brian van Flandern created a Passion Pearls cocktail—pearls symbolizing a 30th anniversary—for the line that combines ingredients inspired by Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn, mixing passion fruit puree, Champagne, Hennessey VSOP Cognac and more.
The ships' shops will feature a special collection of pearls this spring, along with commemorative 30th anniversary merchandise. And travelers will be challenged on their knowledge of Seabourn during trivia matches.
Seabourn was born in 1987 in San Francisco with the aim of providing personalized, anticipatory service, a relaxed, club-like atmosphere and a place that encourages easy socializing. Inclusive pricing, all-suite accommodations and no tipping required or expected were some of the brand's hallmarks.
In 2009, the fleet evolved to larger ships with the introduction of the 32,000gt, 458-passenger Seabourn Odyssey to provide more spacious suites, a large spa, varied alternative dining and entertainment venues and plenty of open deck space.
Sister ships Seabourn Sojourn and Seabourn Quest followed in 2010 and 2011, and the line sold its original vessels. The slightly larger Seabourn Encore arrived in December 2016, and sister Seabourn Ovation is due to arrive in May.
New programs and initiatives in 2018 include two Wellness Cruises with Dr. Andrew Weil and a selection of land-based, immersive Seabourn Journeys to remarkable destinations.
