It transited from Meyer's inland location at Papenburg, Germany through the river and its locks to Eemshaven, Netherlands, on the North Sea. Sailing backwards for safety, the ship departed early Monday morning guided by two tugs and the Pilot Brotherhood of Emden, and arrived at Eemshaven early Tuesday.

Sea trials start Nov. 5

Carnival Jubilee's first round of sea trials are set to begin Nov. 5.

Meanwhile, outfitting work continues.

Carnival Jubilee's first revenue cruise from the Port of Galveston is scheduled for Dec. 23. The ship will operate weeklong sailings to Cozumel, Costa Maya and Roatán's Mahogany Bay.
