The ship had remained at the yard's Penhoet wharf due to the coronavirus pandemic, which affected more than 200 crew members

At anchor off the French coast

However, Celebrity Apex hasn't totally left Saint-Nazaire as it will remain at anchor off the coast for two or three weeks before sailing to Florida.

MSC Virtuosa moves in

Today MSC Virtuosa was planned to take Apex's place at the Penhoet wharf. The MSC Cruises ship is expected to enter service in 2021, instead of this year.

As earlier reported, the third Edge-class ship, Celebrity Beyond, has been delayed from autumn 2021 delivery to 2022.
