Naming ceremony and inaugural cruise

Explora I’s naming ceremony will take place in Civitavecchia near Rome on July 8 followed by its maiden voyage on July 17 from Southampton, UK for a 15-night sailing to the Norwegian fjords, the Arctic Circle and Copenhagen, Denmark.

Construction of the 63,900gt vessel began on June 10, 2021 at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone shipyard.

It is the first of a fleet of up to six ships to be built for Explora Journeys by Fincantieri.
