Scheduled for delivery in 2023, it is the third in a 55,500gt, 732-passenger ship series, following Seven Seas Splendor and Seven Seas Explorer.

Regent President and CEO Jason Montague was on hand for the keel-laying ceremony, along with Ancona shipyard director Gilberto Tobaldi.

Seven Seas Grandeur 'builds upon Regent’s rich three decade-long history. Inspired by our heritage, this will be a ship that harmonizes elegance, comfort, freedom and choice,' Montague said.

During the ceremony three custom-minted coins were placed onto the keel, each representing one of the sister ships. The coins for Seven Seas Explorer, delivered by Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente yard in 2016, and for Seven Seas Splendor, from Ancona in 2020, are replicas of those that were placed in each ship's keel.

The third coin includes the cruise line’s 30th anniversary logo.

Inaugural season

Seven Seas Grandeur's inaugural season, beginning in November 2023, includes 17 voyages in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean and two trans-Atlantic crossings.
