Fincantieri wins order for ultra-luxury cruise ship

Fincantieri reported a contract for an ultra-luxury cruise ship to be delivered by the end of 2025.

The 'international customer' was not identified, and a spokesperson said Fincantieri could not elaborate. 

Four Seasons speculation

Luxury hotel companies have been taking increasing interest in the cruise business, and there's speculation that Four Seasons may be behind this order.

Four Seasons' corporate office did not respond to a request for comment on Monday. 

Plus option for two more

The deal, which includes the option for two additional vessels, amounts to approximately €1.2b.

The contract is subject to financing.
