Meyer Werft floats out Disney Wish

Capt. Minnie Mouse, fireworks and musical fanfare greeted the vessel as it emerged into the Papenburg harbor.

Five hours and 110,000 cubic meters of water

 It took about five hours and 29m gallons (110,000 cubic meters) of water from the Ems River to flood the building dock. Disney Wish exited with only three feet of clearance on either side.

The ship's delayed delivery was announced in recent days. The maiden voyage from Port Canaveral was rescheduled to July 14.

First of three

The 144,000gt, LNG-powered Disney Wish is the first of three new Disney Cruise Line ships due through 2025.
