Royal Caribbean Group President/CEO Jason Liberty joined Silversea President Barbara Muckermann and Meyer Werft's Bernard Meyer and Jan Meyer for the handover.

Environmentally advanced

The environmentally advanced Silver Nova becomes Silversea's 12th ship. At 54,700gt, it has capacity for 728 passengers.

Silver Nova's maiden voyage is scheduled for Aug. 14 from Venice (Fusina). Seatrade Cruise News will be among the media to get a first look just prior to that.
