October 16, 2021
The vessel is chartered to Albatros Expeditions for the upcoming Antarctica season and to American Queen Voyages for the Alaska season.
Bound for Manila, Papeete, Ushuaia
Ocean Victory is to depart the shipyard shortly and be on its way to Manilla to pick up crew, then make short stop at Papeete, Tahiti, and from there head to Ushuaia, Argentina, where its Antarctica cruises will begin in late November.
'We are very pleased with the high-quality, design solutions and equipment packages,' SunStone CEO Niels-Erik Lund said. 'We are looking forward to continuing our relationships with all our partners in the Infinity-class project and we, even considering the COVID-19 world crisis, are moving fast forward at very satisfactory speed, safety and quality level.'
Follows Greg Mortimer and Ocean Explorer
Ocean Victory follows Greg Mortimer, on charter to Aurora Expeditions, and Ocean Explorer, on charter to Vantage Cruise Line. Coming next are Sylvia Earle, Ocean Odyssey, Ocean Albatros and Ocean Discoverer. All vessels ordered have long-term charter agreements in place.
Infinity-class vessels sport Ulstein Design's distinctive X-BOW. They stretch 104 meters/341 feet and are 18 meters/59 feet at the beam with a draft of 5.1 meters/16.7 feet. Each has capacity for 130 to 200 passengers and 85 to 115 crew.
The vessels are built to Ice Class 1A/Polar Code 6. Each has a swimming pool, bar and restaurants, lounges, boutique, gym and spa.
