P&O Cruises’ Arvia to offer skywalking over water

Design features on board P&O Cruises’ Arvia include two 54mtr high skywalk ropes over the ocean, a retractable roof, a swim-up bar, nine mini golf challenges, 12 restaurants – plus eight casual eateries.

‘New restaurant Green & Co featuring Mizuhana will have a plant-led menu reflecting the latest trends in vegan, vegetarian and flexitarian dining, while Altitude Skywalk and SeaScreen [showing films on deck] will entertain all ages,’ said P&O Cruises President Paul Ludlow.

He added, ‘Arvia’s extraordinary features maximise views of the ocean, seashore and destinations from everywhere on board.' 

Entertainment and leisure

An infinity pool will also form part of the on-deck experience with the retractable roof, SkyDome, the setting for aerial performances and theatre productions.

Comprising 16 guest decks, Arvia will be home to a cinema - Ocean Studios - and 1,300sqm of retail space.

The Oasis Spa will offer a therapeutic cool room, hammam, salt sauna, Kneipp walk with two couples suites.

Gastronomy

Green & Co featuring Mizuhana consists of a sushi bar where passengers can watch chefs at work, and food-pairing advice and cocktails will be made available.     

6th Street Diner will serve all-American food, including speciality fried chicken and waffles, and will follow a retro theme, complete with juke box.

P&O Cruises signature restaurants Epicurean, Sindhu, The Glass House, The Keel & Cow and The Olive Grove will also feature on board the ship.

Arvia

As with sister ship Iona, the new Excel class vessel is powered by LNG.

Currently under construction at Germany’s Meyer Werft, it is schedule for delivery in December 2022.
