Maria Theresa is named after the Archduchess of Austria and Queen of Hungary and Bohemia, Maria Theresa, who reigned from 1740 to 1780.

The new river ship will sail this region on Titan and Uniworld’s ‘European Jewels’ itinerary, a 15-day cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam. She will also offer on selected dates the 10-day ‘Tulips and Windmills’ itinerary that departs in March and April 2015. Later in December 2015 she will also offer a Danube Christmas markets cruise.

Guy Young, president of Uniworld, reports good feedback from its latest vessel, Catherine, sailing the South of France’s Rhône and Saône rivers since the end of March.

‘Our philosophy for the expansion of our fleet is built on the premise of healthy and sustainable growth with a focus on the comfort of our guests,’ Young remarked.
