American Legend is scheduled to begin sailing in late 2024
Chesapeake Shipbuilding began constructing American Legend, the fourth Coastal Cat in American Cruise Lines' Project Blue series.

Project Blue consists of 12 small ships with an innovative hull design enabling almost any domestic US cruise itinerary.

19th ship in the fleet

The 100-passenger American Legend is scheduled to begin sailing in late 2024 as the 19th new ship in American's fleet.

First three Coastal Cats coming in the next 12 months

The first three vessels in the series, American Eagle, American Glory and American Liberty, are set to enter service in the next 12 months

American Legend, like its sister ships, will have 56 staterooms and suites, each with a furnished private balcony. Other features include spacious lounges inside and out, an open-air top deck and multiple dining venues. The ship’s hull form also allows for a wide activity platform at the stern that's equipped with kayaks and a large tender.

In just the past five years, American Cruise Lines has nearly tripled its fleet. It fields riverboats and small cruise ships on a wide range of river and coastal itineraries.
