During tests of endurance, steering, speed and thrusters, Carnival Celebration 'performed wonderfully,' Capt. Vincenzo Alcaras said
The LNG-powered Carnival Celebration successfully completed sea trials in the Baltic Sea.

The sister of 2021's Mardi Gras began its first round of trials Sept. 5 from Meyer Turku. The ship carried a full contingent of officers, technicians and engineers to test the technical, mechanical and navigational systems.

'We’ve done many maneuvering tests, such as endurance tests, steering tests, speed tests and thrusters tests. The ship performed wonderfully and, shortly, we will get her out and start cruising,' Capt. Vincenzo Alcaras said.

820 Biscayne

Carnival Celebration’s arrival its PortMiami home this fall will continue the cruise line’s 50th birthday celebration. The ship will feature several unique zones, including 820 Biscayne, a tribute to Miami, where Carnival was born, and showcasing styles and flavors of 'the 305.'

Following an inaugural six-day voyage to the Eastern Caribbean, Carnival Celebration will launch year-round, seven-day cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean beginning Nov. 21.  Destinations include San Juan, Puerto Rico, Cozumel and Grand Turk.
