The first passengers to experience the destination will be those aboard Disney Magic's June 6 preview cruise from Port Everglades next year.
Thomas Mazloum, president of Disney Signature Experiences, announced the news at the Destination D23 Disney Parks fan event over the weekend.
For what will be its seventh ship and the first of its fleet to sail from Singapore and throughout Southeast Asia, DCL has begun the transformation of Global Dream at MV Werften Wismar under the management of the Meyer Group.
In March Disney announced the ship would begin operating from Singapore in 2025 but recent rumors from Germany suggest it could take until 2026 to complete work on the vessel.
Mazloum did not get into details apart from promising Disney service, story-telling and entertainment, adding that families will experience Disney, Pixar and Marvel stories on board.
'On this ship, our guests are going to embark on an adventure unlike any other so the Disney Adventure is the perfect name for this magnificent addition to our Disney Cruise Line fleet,' Mazloum said, adding: 'This will be our biggest adventure yet.'
At 208,000gt, the ship will be DCL's largest, compared to the upcoming Disney Treasure at approximately 144,000gt.
Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
For its second private destination in the Bahamas, there is collaboration between Disney's teams and cultural advisors in the Bahamas.
'Together, we're going to shape an experience that celebrates the natural beauty, the traditions and the artistry of this one-of-a-kind nation with a stunning shoreline that overlooks vast, vivid blue waters. It's only fitting that we are going to call this brand-new island destination Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point,' Mazloum said.
Disney Treasure progress
Mazloum also showed the D23 crowd a shot of 2024's Disney Treasure under construction at Meyer Werft with the Aladdin-esque Grand Hall front and center.
Disney Treasure will 'blend new experiences with beloved traditions we know you enjoy,' Mazloum said.
Last week, DCL shared some new features of the ship that's themed on adventure and is a sister of 2022's Disney Wish.
