The new world's largest cruise ship, Icon of the Seas, was floated out at Meyer Turku Friday.

The 250,800gt Icon of the Seas is Royal Caribbean International's first LNG-powered ship.

During the weekend, the newbuild will be moved to the Turku outfitting dock, where its now fully assembled hull will be finished next year.

Icon of the Seas is scheduled to be handed over in late 2023 to enter service in early 2024. It will sail year-round from PortMiami to the eastern and western Caribbean.
