Arvia will soon leave the covered building dock II
P&O Cruises' Arvia is scheduled to be floated out at Meyer Werft in Papenburg on Saturday, making way for Carnival Jubilee in building dock II.

Arvia is then to gain its masts and funnel while at the outfitting pier. It will remain in the Papenburg harbor as interior work continues and technical tests are carried out leading up to its Ems River conveyance in October.

Festival backdrop

This means Arvia will form the backdrop for the NDR2 Papenburg Festival on Sept.2 and 3.

Delivery is scheduled for later this year.

The more than 180,000gt, LNG-powered vessel is the sister of 2020's Iona.

Carnival Jubilee moving in

After Arvia leaves the building dock II, the floating engine room unit (FERU) for Carnival Jubilee, which will be delivered at the end of 2023, is to be manoeuvred into its place. The front part of the cruise ship has already been built there in block construction over the past few months. The FERU was built at Neptun Werft in Rostock and was transferred to Papenburg a week ago.
