Odyssey of the Seas is the first of its kind to sail in Europe
Odyssey of the Seas has been floated out at Meyer Werft’s covered building dock II.

The 347.1mtr long vessel for Royal Caribbean International has been moved to the outfitting pier in the shipyard harbour.

Outfitting will be completed in the coming months. The ship will then be conveyed down the river Ems to complete the technical and nautical sea trials.

The 169,000gt cruise ship, capable of accommodating more than 5,000 passengers, was orginally due to debut last month but has been delayed until April 2021.

Odyssey of the Seas is Royal Caribbean's second Quantum Ultra Class cruise ship and the first of its kind to sail in Europe in spring 2021, when it will offer east Med itineraries from Civitavecchia, Rome before arriving in the US in November 2021.
