The ship was floated out in Rijeka, Croatia in June, months after it was disclosed that outfitting would be carried out by De Wave Group.
Its maiden voyage is to get underway April 13 and consists of an 11-day cruise from Lisbon to Barcelona.
Wellness areas
Additional enhancements have been unveiled, including dedicated male and female wellness areas within the 5,920 sq. ft. Senses Spa, with saunas, steam room, temperature-controlled plunge pools, relaxation lounges and a manicure/pedicure studio. An outdoor terrace complete with relaxation lounges and vitality spa also features.
The steam room has been additionally expanded to include aromatherapy, an integrated ice fountain and experience showers, and a KLAFS custom salt therapy lounge has been introduced, complete with heated beds and accompanied by aromatherapy scents.
A yoga and Pilates studio will also be onboard.
Infrared lounge
According to Scenic, the success onboard Scenic Eclipse of KLAFS Infrared chairs – designed to relieve back pain and encourage muscle relaxation – has led to an expanded infrared ‘ocean view' lounge being introduced to Scenic Eclipse II’s wellness area, with color light therapy to energize and reinvigorate skin cells.
New bar space
A new bar venue with indoor and outdoor seating will be located on Deck 10, granting unique views.
Another fresh component is the installation of a large, oval-shaped pool with relaxation space.
2023 sailings
A selection of the ship’s itineraries have been outlined for next year, including a 15-day ‘Beyond the Antarctic Circle’ voyage sailing roundtrip from Ushuaia, Argentina, a 12-day high Arctic voyage cruising from Reykjavik to Copenhagen departing August 2, 2023, and a nine-day Scottish Isles cruise leaving Edinburgh on September 13, 2023.
The ship brings passengers to the ports of The Bahamas, Turks & Caicos and Jamaica during a nine-day Caribbean itinerary from Nassau on Oct 23, 2023.
2024 programme
Scenic Eclipse II charts Australia’s northern territories from Cairns to Darwin on April 30, 2024 as part of an 11-day ‘Australia’s Top End: Cape York & Arnhem Land’ itinerary. Setting sail March 31, 2024 the ship spends 13 days exploring several of the most recognized islands that make up French Polynesia and the South Pacific: from Tahiti to Bora Bora to some of the Cook Islands to Fiji and beyond.
