West Sea Viana do Castelo delivered World Traveller to Atlas Ocean Voyages, part of the Mystic Invest group, and a double naming with sister World Navigator is planned in Chile's Patagonia.

The 200-passenger vessel is the twin of 2021's World Navigator, and fourth in a series of expedition vessels from West Sea Viana for Mystic.

World Traveller has just been welcomed to the Port of Leixões, Portugal, where it was showcased to international travel partners and media. It will now reposition to Ushuaia, Argentina, for the 2022/23 Antarctica season.

Double naming at Garibaldi Glacier

World Traveller and World Navigator are scheduled to be named at a dual ceremony Nov. 20 at Chile’s Garibaldi Glacier.

World Traveller will be showcased to North American travel advisors, dignitaries and international media before its Nov. 21 maiden Antarctica voyage.

Mediterranean and Arctic in 2023

After the Antarctica season, World Traveller is to reposition via the Canary Islands to Europe for seven- to 10-day Mediterranean voyages. Homeports include Seville, Lisbon, Barcelona, Nice and Civitavecchia (Rome).

In August, three Arctic expeditions offer the chance to view glaciers, fjordlands and mountains, and observe a range of wildlife, including birds, whales, polar bears, reindeer, walrus and the elusive Arctic fox. From the land of the Midnight Sun, World Traveller offers an Iceland circumnavigation before charting a southbound course via the British Isles, Ireland, France and Spain to conclude its Europe season on Oct. 16  in Lisbon.

World Traveller is a Polar Category C- and Ice Class 1B-certified vessel with stylish design and five-star comforts.
