SeaDream plans apos;aggressiveapos; marketing

SeaDream plans apos;aggressiveapos; marketing

'

'We are ratcheting up our value proposition,' stated Larry Pimentel, president, ceo and co-owner, who added that SeaDream customers are affluent but are not 'frivolous big spenders.

'They are thoughtful luxury lovers who seek value,' he said. 'That's what we have been providing them with and that's what we plan to accelerate even higher on our value tachometer.'

Things are looking good for SeaDream despite the current economic climate. The company reports it completed the first two quarters of 2008 with 100% occupancy. 2009 per diems are up 8%, with advance bookings 11% ahead of this time in 2008.

SeaDream said it has grown revenue by nearly 19% a year since its inception in 2001 and, from 2006, the average per diem rose from $536 to $653 through the first half of 2008. Occupancy was 99% in 2006 and 100%-plus in 2007.

'Even though we are proceeding with confidence into the second half of 2008, and things are looking equally good for us, and even though we are ahead of the game at this point for 2009, we can't rest on our laurels,' Pimentel said, citing cost containment as 'an obsession' along with providing value to customers.
