Seatrade Cruise Global's daylong Tomorrow's Talent Today on April 8 will explore cruise career opportunities and how the business can evolve to attract the next generation of talent.

The program is designed for students seeking rewarding shipboard and shoreside careers and for cruise line human resources professionals, trainers, recruiters and hospitality educators.

Two parallel tracks

Tomorrow's Talent Today consists of two parallel tracks.

One is tailored to students and hospitality educators, giving the opportunity to explore careers within the cruise industry and access to a network of cruise professionals who can kickstart careers.

The other track provides a platform for cruise industry professionals in HR, recruitment, talent, people and crewing roles to discuss issues related to recruitment, staff shortage, crew welfare and training, and find solutions together.

Rick Sasso keynote

The program opens with a keynote address by 40-year cruise veteran Rick Sasso, chairman, MSC Cruises USA, then splits into the two tracks with Robert Kwortnik, associate professor, Cornell University, discussing 'Future Proofing Cruise Industry Careers' and veteran senior cruise executive Bruce Nierenberg, CEO, Nierenberg Associates, giving an overview of the global cruise industry.
