After 11 years with Cunard, Angus Struthers is exiting the cruise line
Angus Struthers is leaving Cunard in June after after overseeing the inaugural events for Queen Anne, launching in May.

Cunard is an incredible brand and I look back with much pride at the many successes we’ve achieved, but after nearly 11 years, and once we’ve seen the magnificent Queen Anne named, I feel it is the right time to find my next exciting career opportunity,’ explained Struthers.

Struthers has worked for Cunard since 2013, leading brand development, marketing, PR and events, trade relations in the UK and across EMEA, and digital transformation.

He was the acting SVP from August 2022-23, and Cunard’s VP of marketing and UK sales from September 2013-July 2022.

Prior to that he was the senior director of global communications at TripAdvisor.

Oversaw key brand milestones

Cunard President Katie McAlister commented, ‘Angus has been at the heart of the Cunard brand evolution and commercial growth over the last decade overseeing – amongst other successes – Queen Mary 2’s ‘Remastering’, the launch of Cunard’s Event Voyage programme, spectacular celebrations for our 175th anniversary in Liverpool, and of course the exciting imminent arrival of our first new ship in 14 years, Queen Anne.’

She added, ‘We’re seeing our strongest booking results in a decade and as the brand goes from strength to strength I’d like to thank Angus for the incredible contribution and passion he’s showed for the brand.’

The company did not indicate if a successor has been identified.
