Steve Odell is in the lineup of speakers for ACA 2017
Steve Odell, svp and md Asia Pacific for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, has been named as a keynote speaker at ACA 2017 in Mooloolaba on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, about 99km north of Brisbane, from September 6-8.

Odell will speak on ‘Opportunities, Challenges and Brand Diversity' at the conference which has as its theme ‘Together, Towards Tomorrow.’

Sarina Bratton, Ponant’s chairman Asia Pacific, and Matt Grimes, responsible for itinerary development and deployment at Viking Cruises, are also in the lineup of speakers, along with former P&O Cruises Australia svp Tammy Marshall.

Marshall, who left P&O in March 2015, is the founder of The Bhive, an innovation and change management consultancy. She will deliver a demand study commissioned by ACA which looks at trends and future projections for the cruise industry.

The welcome function will be held on the pool deck of Mantra Mooloolaba, the host hotel, and the gala dinner will be at Spirit House, a Thai restaurant set in tropical gardens in the hinterland.

Mooloolaba is a growing port, with P&O Cruises Australia’s Pacific Pearl making the first cruise ship visit in July 2015 as part of Carnival Australia’s pioneering efforts to open regional ports around the country.

Ships anchor off Point Cartwright and passengers are transferred by tenders to the Underwater World Sea Life Aquarium jetty.

There is a wide range of shore activities, including trips to the seaside resort of Noosa.

Registrations for ACA 2017 are now open, with an early bird rate of A$800 for full members. The non-member flat rate is A$1,000.
