Aroya allies with Culinary Arts Commission to offer authentic Saudi cuisine

Cruise Saudi CEO Lars Clasen and Culinary Arts Commission CEO Mayada Badr
Cruise Saudi will partner with Saudi Arabia's Culinary Arts Commission to offer authentic cuisine on board Aroya Cruises through the Irth Culinary Boutique & Café.

The venue will offer a variety of locally sourced Saudi foods and drinks and high-quality products. All restaurant staff will be trained by the Culinary Arts Commission to ensure a ‘deluxe and genuine’ experience for passengers, according to Cruise Saudi.

Saudi Arabia’s first cruise line is aimed at Saudi nationals, expats and regional guests. All elements will be created to suit Arabian tastes and preferences, from the design of cabins to the on board food and beverage.

Last month, DL Services was appointed to develop Aroya's catering spaces.

A key step

‘...Launching Irth Culinary Boutique & Café onboard AROYA Cruises represents a key step in exhibiting the Kingdom’s authenticity and offering the best of services to our guests,’ said Cruise Saudi CEO Lars Clasen.

Culinary Arts Commission

Founded in 2020, the Culinary Arts Commission seeks to promote the Saudi culinary traditions on a local and global scale, and position the Kingdom as a leading destination for culinary arts.

Mayada Badr, CEO of the Culinary Arts Commission, said, ‘Irth Culinary Boutique & Café will showcase the authenticity of Saudi cuisine and its rich culture, and this partnership with Cruise Saudi’s Aroya Cruises aligns perfectly with our ambition to celebrate the Kingdom’s rich heritage and culture.

‘We look forward to joining Aroya Cruises in their mission to offer the best of Saudi culture and traditions across its journeys.’
