Disney Magic coming to Fredericia
On August 16, Disney Magic will call for a first-time visit and also a first for Disney Cruise Line, notes Line Tange, Cruise Manager, Cruise Fredericia.
The destination of Fredericia has gained top-ratings from several cruise lines during 2018 she adds.
‘Fredericia has been ranked as number 2 out of 218 destinations worldwide by Fred Olsen Cruise Line guests and when it comes to guest satisfaction for the welcoming ceremony on the cruise quay, Fredericia was ranked 17 out of 218 destinations worldwide,’ reports Tange.
Gateway to Denmark’s historical sites
Fredericia is a small historical city in Northern Europe. Local attractions include Hans Christian Andersen’s childhood home, castles, Viking Experience, LEGOLAND and three UNESCO attractions. Michelin Star restaurant Ti Trin Ned is also located on the waterfront.
New transfer shuttle train
A new drop off shuttle train transfer from the quay to the city centre will be available this year.
‘Many of our guests chose to walk the short distance from the cruise quay to the city centre, but for those, who prefer to take a shuttle train, this will now be an extra service for our guests’, says Tange.
In 2021, Denmark will host The Grand Départ and two more stages of the Tour de France. On July 4 a stage will be near Fredericia.
